Jordan M. Cohen, Founder and Senior Counsel
Jordan Marc Cohen is the founder and principal attorney of Cohen Law Group. With more than three decades of legal experience and firsthand insight as a small business owner, he brings a practical perspective to complex legal matters affecting businesses, individuals, and policyholders throughout California.
Before founding Cohen Law Group, Jordan led the Pro Athlete Law Group, where he represented professional athletes in workers’ compensation and player benefit matters while overseeing attorneys and staff across multiple offices. Prior to that, he operated The Cohen Law Firm for ten years, handling a broad range of civil litigation matters including insurance bad faith, labor and employment disputes, class actions, complex torts, and business litigation, while personally managing trials, arbitrations, and overall case strategy. Earlier in his career, Jordan was an associate and partner at Levine, Steinberg & Miller, where he focused on complex tort litigation and insurance bad faith matters.
Joyce H. Ma, Senior Counsel
Joyce H. Ma focuses her practice on commercial and business litigation, real estate transactions and disputes, and general liability matters in both state and federal courts. Drawing on her extensive experience as an entrepreneur and business professional, Joyce brings a practical, solutions-oriented perspective to every matter, helping clients achieve strong results in litigation and alternative dispute resolution while remaining attentive to each client’s personal and business objectives.
Joyce represents a broad range of clients, from Fortune 500 and multinational corporations to small businesses, sole proprietors, and government entities. Her practice includes advising clients on operational strategy and risk management across a variety of areas, including partnership and contract disputes, intellectual property, construction, labor and employment, securities matters, and complex business conflicts.
She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she served as a Copy Editor for the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice and authored the article “Proposition 8 and Education.” During law school, Joyce also participated in the Post-Conviction Justice Project’s advanced clinic, representing inmates as a certified student attorney. In that role, she acted as counsel in parole hearings and successfully appeared before the California Court of Appeal on a habeas corpus petition that was ultimately granted. Joyce received her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Joon Song, Senior Counsel
Joon Song focuses on corporate and commercial litigation, guiding clients through every stage of the legal process—from pleadings and discovery to motions practice, alternative dispute resolution, and trial preparation. He has drafted writs and appellate briefs for the California Court of Appeal and excels in legal analysis, including researching legislative history and issues of first impression.
Before joining Cohen Law Group, Joon served as managing attorney for litigation at a multistate law firm, overseeing a team of sixteen lawyers and legal professionals. He has nearly 15 years of experience representing clients ranging from small businesses and high-net-worth individuals to Fortune 5, 100, and 500 companies, handling matters such as breaches of contract, partnership disputes, inverse condemnation, employment disputes, and personal injury. Joon earned dual degrees in political science and public health from the University of California, Berkeley, and a JD from The George Washington University Law School, where he was managing editor of the George Washington International Law Review and interned for the Honorable Donald F. Parsons of the Delaware Court of Chancery. He is admitted to practice in California, the Central District of California, the Eastern District of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Susan Peterson, Associate Counsel
Susan Peterson brings over 30 years of legal experience and extensive courtroom expertise to Cohen Law Group. Early in her career, she served with the Contra Costa and Denver District Attorney’s Offices, conducting more than 70 jury trials and developing a strong foundation in trial strategy, evidence presentation, and courtroom advocacy.
For the past two decades, Susan has practiced in private law, representing a wide range of clients in matters including employment disputes, breach of contract, business litigation, and personal injury. She guides clients through complex legal challenges with skill and clarity, handling every stage of litigation—from case strategy, pleadings, and discovery to motions practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. Susan’s combination of courtroom experience and strategic insight makes her a trusted advocate for clients seeking effective and practical legal solutions.
Jason Olesen, Supervising Paralegal
Jason is a paralegal at Cohen Law Group. Jason works primarily in litigation centered around Contractual Disputes, Personal Injury, Employment Defense, and specialty litigation like Class Actions and PAGA. Jason assists the Cohen Law attorneys in maintaining active litigation matters including, conducting research, drafting documents, and filing state, federal, and regulatory agency documents. Jason has been a certified paralegal since 2018.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and children at Disneyland, attending their sporting events and cheer competitions. He also volunteers his time coaching and officiating for his local Parks & Recreation department.
Cameron Crage, Director of Finance and Operations
Cameron Crage focuses on finance, operations, and case support, working across the firm’s litigation and Subsequent Injuries Benefits Trust Fund matters. His work involves overseeing administrative and financial functions, coordinating internal case-related processes, and serving as a Certificated Hearing and Lien Representative in California workers’ compensation cases.
Cameron’s background spans investor relations, business operations, and litigation finance, with experience supporting capital raises, investor communications, and operational due diligence related to alternative investment strategies. Cameron earned his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.
Ethan Cohen, Director of Marketing
Ethan leads marketing and client acquisition at Cohen Law Group, helping individuals and businesses across California connect with experienced legal representation. He focuses on ensuring that prospective clients can quickly understand their rights, evaluate their options, and take the next step with confidence. His work centers on clear communication, accessible information, and a streamlined path from initial inquiry to consultation.
Ethan oversees the firm’s digital strategy, lead generation, and intake experience, with an emphasis on responsiveness and clarity at every stage of the process.
Andrea Martinez, Legal Assistant
Andrea is a legal assistant with a background in analysis and auditing, bringing a structured and detail-driven approach to legal support. She holds a degree in International Business and applies strong analytical skills to case preparation, document review, and administrative processes.
Andrea’s work is grounded in accuracy, organization, and efficiency, supporting attorneys in delivering thorough and effective representation. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her dog.
